Paid plans include a weekly pool of usage for Cursor models, shared across Grok and Cursor. Third-party models aren't included; on Premium and above you can use them at API list price, paid from prepaid credit.

  • Free. Agent and Chat with limited usage.
  • Plus. Agent with Cursor's own models (Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5, and Composer 2.5) at fixed settings: Fast is off, effort is medium, and Grok 4.7 uses the 256k context window. Also Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine, Build, and Grok API access. No Auto, Cloud Agents, Automations, Bugbot, Origin, third-party models, or your own API keys.
  • Premium. Everything in Plus, with 4x the usage. Adds Cloud Agents and Automations, code hosting on Origin, code review with Bugbot, third-party models at API list price, and Grok Bot.
  • Super. Everything in Premium, with 15x Plus usage and priority model access at peak times.
  • Ultra. Everything in Super, with 50x Plus usage and earliest access to new products and models.

Premium suits new Agent users, Super suits daily Agent users, and Ultra suits power users running several agents or Automations. See cursor.com/pricing for the full feature comparison, including Grok and X benefits.

Included usage

Each paid plan includes one pool of usage for Cursor models. The pool is shared across everything on your subscription: Agent in the editor, CLI, Cloud Agents, Grok Bot, and the Grok apps. It refreshes weekly, so one heavy day doesn't use up your month.

Different models draw from the pool at different rates. Your remaining usage and next reset date are shown in your editor settings and under Usage at grok.com/dashboard.

Cursor models

The pool covers Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5, and Composer 2.5. On Teams and Enterprise plans, Cursor Router picks among Cursor models and third-party models for each Balance or Intelligence request based on your optimization mode; a third-party route bills as third-party usage.

Third-party models

Third-party models like Claude, GPT, and Gemini aren't part of the included pool. On Premium and above, they're available in Cursor at the model's API list price from the first request, paid from your prepaid credit. Plus and Free don't include third-party models.

Top-ups and spending caps

Top-ups add prepaid credit to your subscription. Credit pays for two kinds of additional usage:

  • Third-party models in Cursor, from the first request, at API list price.
  • Cursor models beyond your weekly pool, at the rates in the table above.

Buy credit when you choose, or turn on Auto Top-up to refill when your balance drops below a threshold you set. A monthly additional usage limit caps how much paid additional usage you can consume each month, regardless of how much credit you hold. Manage all three under Additional usage credits at grok.com/dashboard/billing. On Teams, admins manage a shared prepaid balance and one cap for the whole team.

What happens when I reach my limit?

When your weekly pool runs out, you can:

  • Wait for the reset. Your pool refreshes weekly.
  • Use prepaid credit. Keep working at the same per-model rates with top-ups or Auto Top-up.
  • Upgrade your plan. Move to a higher tier for a larger weekly pool.

Requests are never downgraded in quality or speed. See Usage and limits for how to check usage and what the limit notification means.

Teams

Teams are priced per seat. Each member gets a Premium, Super, or Ultra seat at the same price and with the same weekly usage as the matching individual plan, and you can mix seat tiers on one team. Plus isn't available for teams.

Team plans add centralized billing and administration, a team marketplace for internal rules, skills, and plugins, usage analytics, team-wide privacy mode enforcement, custom Chat data retention, and SAML/OIDC SSO. Enterprise adds pooled usage across Grok and Cursor, invoicing, SCIM, granular spend controls, and advanced security controls.

We recommend Teams for any customer that is happy self-serving and Enterprise for customers that need priority support, pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM, or advanced security controls. Learn more about Team pricing.

Cursor Token Rate

On Teams and Enterprise plans, third-party model requests include a Cursor Token Rate of $0.25 per million tokens. This rate applies on top of model API pricing for additional usage and BYOK usage. Individual plans don't pay it.

The Cursor Token Rate applies when you select a third-party model directly, and when Cursor Router (Balance or Intelligence) routes to a third-party model. Cost mode requests are exempt, and so are Cursor models, including Grok and Composer.

Auto modes

Auto has three modes: Cost, Balance, and Intelligence. See Cursor Router for how these modes work.

Cost mode (classic Auto) bills as a Cursor-model request and draws from your weekly pool whatever model serves it. On Teams and Enterprise with Cursor Router on, Balance and Intelligence bill at the routed model's list price: a route to a Cursor model draws from the weekly pool, and a route to a third-party model is third-party usage paid from prepaid credit. Individual plans have Cost mode only. See Model pricing for per-model rates. Third-party routes also incur the Cursor Token Rate on Teams and Enterprise.

Legacy Cursor plans

Hobby, Start, Pro, Pro+, Ultra, and Teams Standard and Premium seats continue for existing customers. They include two monthly usage pools, Cursor Models and Other Models, and use on-demand usage instead of top-ups. See Legacy Cursor plans for how they work and how they map to The X Subscription.

Legacy request-based pricing

Max Mode

Max Mode is available only on legacy request-based plans. It extends a model's context window beyond the default limit and is billed at the model's API rate plus 20%. See Max Mode on legacy plans for details.

FAQ

Yes. Grok Chat, Imagine, Voice, Grok Bot, and Cursor all draw from the same weekly pool for Cursor models. Usage rates vary by product. The Grok API is billed separately and doesn't draw from the pool.

No. Plus includes Cursor's own models only (Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5, and Composer 2.5), at fixed settings. Upgrade to Premium or higher to use third-party models, billed at API list price from prepaid credit, and to choose Fast mode and effort levels.

Models are hosted by the model provider, a trusted partner, or Cursor. See our list of sub-processors for details.
