Cursor is building the best way to develop software with AI. As an early member of our data science team, you'll help define the way the company uses data to make decisions and deliver a compelling product to our users. You'll partner closely with colleagues across product, engineering, finance, and marketing to shape our strategy around growth and monetization for the self-serve business.

What you'll do

  • Design and analyze high impact experiments focused on pricing, user activation, and team expansion

  • Own metric definition and understanding for our self serve business

  • Develop and refine how we measure customer value

  • Collaborate with growth marketing to segment our users and provide a personalized onboarding experience

You may be a fit if

  • You have 4+ years of experience as a data scientist at a high growth company

  • You're deeply experienced in experimentation and causal inference

  • You know how to strike the right balance between methodological rigor and speed

  • You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, from engineering to finance

  • You're happy to work across the stack and help us build the foundations of data at Cursor

  • You have forecasting/time series experience

  • You’ve worked at a company with a usage-based business model
