Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering. Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.

About the role

We’re looking for a Group Vice President (GVP) of Business Operations to build and run the operating system of Cursor’s go-to-market and broader business. This leader will work closely with executive leadership to drive planning, execution, and operational rigor across the company—ensuring we scale efficiently while maintaining speed.

You’ll own core business processes like forecasting, annual and quarterly planning, and performance management, while also stepping into high-priority, ambiguous problems that require structured thinking and execution. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to help build the foundation of a category-defining company.

We’re an in-person company with offices in San Francisco and New York, and we value tight collaboration across teams.

  • Build and manage forecasting processes, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking across go-to-market teams

  • Partner with sales and marketing leadership to drive operational rigor, resource allocation, and territory planning

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and execution across the business

  • Identify and solve high-priority, ambiguous problems with structured analysis and execution

  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to inform decision-making at the leadership level

  • Work closely with finance on planning, budgeting, and headcount strategy

  • Help build and scale the business operations team over time

You may be a fit if

  • You’ve led business operations, revenue operations, or strategy & operations at a high-growth technology company

  • Strong experience with forecasting, planning, and building scalable operating processes

  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear decisions and actions

  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership
