Refunds

How refund reviews work and how to contact support.

Do subscriptions renew automatically?

Yes. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Canceling stops future charges. It does not refund a charge that has already been processed.

See how to cancel your subscription. Full terms are in the Terms of Service.

When am I eligible for a refund? (Individual plans)

Pro, Pro+, and Ultra use the same refund rules for monthly and annual plans.

You may qualify for a refund on your most recent subscription payment if both of these are true:

  • The charge was made within the last 14 days
  • You have not used the subscription during that billing period

We'll review your account to confirm eligibility. If eligible, we can cancel your subscription and refund that payment. Refunds return to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Outside the 14-day window, or with usage during the period, that payment is generally not refundable and you are committed for the current billing period. You can still cancel to stop future renewal charges.

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Which details should I include in a refund request?

Contact support while signed in to your Cursor account. Include these details so we can verify your account quickly:

  • The email on your Cursor account
  • The charge amount and date
  • Invoice ID or receipt, if available
  • A short description of what looks incorrect

What refund language is publicly documented for Teams?

Teams documentation states billing adjustments can appear as credit on a future invoice, and that removed members who already used credits keep the seat occupied until cycle end.

This page only reflects that public guidance. If you need a decision on a specific charge, contact support.

Can I cancel even if I am requesting a refund?

Yes. You can cancel to stop future renewal charges. Cancellation keeps paid access until the end of your current billing period.

Are on-demand charges refundable?

On-demand and fast-request charges for usage you have already consumed are not refundable. This is separate from the subscription refund above.

If you are unsure about a charge, contact support and we can review it with you.

What if I subscribed through the iOS app?

Apple is the merchant of record for in-app purchases, so Cursor can't issue refunds for them. For refunds on an in-app subscription, use Apple's Subscriptions and billing support. See Subscribe from the iOS app for more details.

I did not authorize this charge. What should I do?

If you see a charge you do not recognize, contact support. Include the charge amount, date, and the last four digits of the card that was charged. We will investigate the account activity.

We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve the issue directly. Filing a chargeback with your bank may result in delays and could affect your account status while the dispute is under review.
