Subscribe from the Android app
The Grok Bot Android app supports subscribing to a paid plan as an in-app purchase handled by Google Play. Here's how it works and how it differs from subscribing on the web.
Which plans can I buy in the app?
If you don't already have a plan billed through cursor.com, you can subscribe to a monthly Pro, Pro+, or Ultra plan from the app. If you already subscribed in the app, you can upgrade your plan there too. If you're on a plan billed through cursor.com, manage it on cursor.com instead.
Only monthly individual plans are available in the app. For yearly billing, Teams, or Enterprise plans, subscribe on cursor.com.
How do I manage an in-app subscription?
Google is the merchant of record for Google Play in-app purchases, so Google handles all subscription management.
- To view, change, or cancel your plan, see Google's guide to managing subscriptions on Google Play.
- For refunds, invoices, and receipts, use Google Play's refund support.
Because Google processes the payment, Cursor can't cancel an in-app plan or issue a refund for you. Any billing question on an in-app subscription goes through Google Play.
Can I use on-demand spend on an in-app plan?
Yes. Google Play bills your subscription, and on-demand usage is billed separately to a payment card you add on the web. In a browser, go to cursor.com/dashboard, open Spending, and set a monthly limit. You'll be asked to add a card if you don't have one on file. See On-demand usage for mobile subscriptions for the full steps.
How do I switch to a subscription on cursor.com?
You can't switch directly while an in-app subscription is active. To move to a plan billed through cursor.com:
- Cancel the in-app subscription through Google Play.
- Wait for it to expire at the end of the current period.
- Once it lapses, sign up again on cursor.com.
Is my plan tied to my email or my Google account?
Both. An in-app plan is tied to a single Cursor email and the Google account used to buy it. If you sign in with a different email and try to restore the purchase, you'll see an error. Use the same email you subscribed with.
What if my in-app purchase hasn't synced?
Your subscription status usually syncs automatically. If it still looks wrong after a purchase, tap Restore Purchases in the app. This re-downloads your subscription state from Google Play and re-applies your plan. Restore Purchases is for accounts that aren't already on a cursor.com subscription.
Can I buy a plan in the app in my region?
Yes. In-app plans are available in every region where Grok Bot is on Google Play.
