On-demand usage for mobile subscriptions
If you subscribed to Cursor through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you can still use on-demand usage. You enable it on the web.
What is on-demand usage?
On-demand usage lets you keep using Cursor and Grok Bot after your plan's included usage runs out. You set a monthly spend limit, and usage beyond your included allowance is billed to a payment card, up to that limit. See Usage-based charges for how on-demand pricing works.
How do I enable on-demand usage with a mobile subscription?
Subscriptions purchased in the app are billed by Apple or Google, and extra usage isn't available for purchase in the app. Enable it on the web instead:
- In a browser, go to cursor.com/dashboard and sign in with the same account you use in the app
- Open Spending in the sidebar
- Under On-Demand Usage, set Monthly Limit to a fixed amount or Unlimited, then click Save
- If you don't have a card on file, you'll be asked to add one before on-demand usage turns on
Once enabled, on-demand usage applies everywhere you use your account, including the mobile apps.
Does this change how my mobile subscription is billed?
No. Your plan stays billed through the App Store or Google Play, and you keep managing it in your device's subscription settings. The card you add is separate and only covers on-demand usage.
