Link SuperGrok for Grok Bot
Link your Grok or X account to grant Grok Bot usage on your Cursor account. Individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, and X Premium+ qualify.
What do I need before linking SuperGrok?
You need an active individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+ subscription on the Grok or X account you will link, and a Cursor or Grok Bot account to receive the usage grant.
Linking pairs one Cursor account with one Grok or X account. The link itself is not a Cursor payment. Sign in with the Cursor account that should hold the usage grant, because a SuperGrok or X Premium+ link can't be unlinked or moved to a different Cursor account once created.
What do I get after linking SuperGrok?
Linking is a usage grant, not a Cursor plan. It grants Grok Bot usage on the linked Cursor account while your SuperGrok or X Premium+ subscription stays active.
- SuperGrok Heavy grants the highest linked Grok Bot usage.
- SuperGrok Plus grants generous linked Grok Bot usage, below the Heavy tier.
- SuperGrok grants linked Grok Bot usage, below the Plus tier.
- X Premium+ grants linked Grok Bot usage, below SuperGrok Plus.
Cursor re-checks your SuperGrok or X Premium+ status at each renewal.
Does linking SuperGrok change my Cursor plan?
No. Your existing Cursor plan stays in place. Linking SuperGrok or X Premium+ doesn't cancel a Pro, Pro+, Ultra, or Teams subscription, and it doesn't replace them with another Cursor plan. If you had no Cursor plan before linking, you still don't, and Grok Bot usage comes from the SuperGrok or X Premium+ grant alone.
If you have both a paid Cursor plan that includes Grok Bot and a SuperGrok or X Premium+ link, both apply to the same Cursor account. Your Cursor plan continues to bill and renew independently of the link.
If you already have Grok Bot on Pro, Pro+, Ultra, or a self-serve Teams plan, you can keep using it by signing in. Linking SuperGrok or X Premium+ does not swap you to Ultra, cancel that plan, or add a second Grok Bot meter. It does not change how that Cursor plan bills.
How do I link my Grok account?
- On the Grok Bot plan screen, click Link Grok Account.
- Sign into the Grok account with individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy.
- Return to Grok Bot and confirm you have access.
How do I link my X Premium+ account?
- On the Grok Bot plan screen, click Link X Account.
- Sign into the X account with X Premium+.
- Return to Grok Bot and confirm you have access.
Which SuperGrok tiers grant Grok Bot?
Individual SuperGrok, individual SuperGrok Plus, individual SuperGrok Heavy, and X Premium+ grant Grok Bot usage. SuperGrok Team and SuperGrok Enterprise plans are not supported.
These do not qualify:
- SuperGrok Lite
- SuperGrok Team
- SuperGrok Enterprise
Can I unlink or move a SuperGrok link to a different Cursor account?
No. A SuperGrok or X Premium+ link is permanent once created. You can't unlink a Grok or X account from a Cursor account, and you can't move a link to a different Cursor account.
Sign in with the correct Cursor account before you select Link Grok Account or Link X Account. If a link ended up on the wrong Cursor account, contact support.
Why am I still on the plan screen after linking?
Confirm you're signed in with the same Cursor account you linked. If access still doesn't appear, contact support.
Why don't I see a Link Grok Account option after I've already logged in?
The Link Grok Account and Link X Account options appear on the Get Started paywall screen before you sign in. Once you're past the paywall and inside the main app, Settings does not show a Grok, X, or xAI account link option.
To return to the paywall screen:
- Fully quit Grok Bot (on Mac, choose Quit from the menu bar).
- Relaunch the app.
If you still don't see Link Grok Account or Link X Account, confirm you're not already signed in through another path.
What if my SuperGrok access, email, or usage looks wrong after linking?
If linking didn't grant Grok Bot usage, applied to the wrong account, or your usage didn't reset, work through these checks first.
Confirm the basics:
- You linked the Grok account with an active SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy subscription, or the X account with X Premium+. The grant is tied to that specific account.
- You're signed into Grok Bot with the same Cursor account you linked.
- Your SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+ subscription is still active at renewal.
Common failure modes:
| What you're seeing | What to try |
|---|---|
| Linking fails partway through sign-in | Fully quit Grok Bot (on Mac, choose Quit from the menu bar), reopen, and link again from the Get Started screen. |
| Access applied to the wrong Cursor account | A SuperGrok or X Premium+ link can't be unlinked or moved on your own. Contact support with the Cursor account email that received the grant and the Cursor account email that should hold it. |
| Usage didn't reset after linking | Confirm your SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+ subscription is active, then allow up to 24 hours after a successful link for usage to refresh. |
If your access, email, or usage still looks wrong, contact support with the email on your Cursor account, the Grok or X account email you linked, and a screenshot of your plan screen.
