Sign in to Grok Bot
Grok Bot uses your Cursor account. There is no separate Grok Bot login.
How do I sign in to Grok Bot on desktop?
- Open the Grok Bot app.
- Choose the sign-in button the app shows.
- Finish signing in in your browser with your Cursor account.
- Return to Grok Bot. You should see your account in Settings.
How do I sign in to Grok Bot on mobile?
- Open the Grok Bot mobile app.
- Sign in with the same Cursor account you use on desktop.
- See Grok Bot on mobile for setup tips.
Why is Grok Bot showing a persistent authentication error even after I log out, clear cache, and reinstall?
Start with these steps, which resolve most persistent authentication errors:
- Update the desktop app to the latest version, then sign out and sign back in.
- Clear browser cache and cookies for cursor.com and x.ai, then sign in again in a private or incognito window.
- On desktop, also try signing in at x.ai/bot using the same Cursor account.
- If the error started recently, wait 30 to 60 minutes and retry. Some auth errors clear on their own as your session refreshes.
Reinstalling the app usually does not fix this, so try the steps above first.
Some persistent authentication errors are known issues our engineers are working on. If the error remains after these steps, see What if authentication or account-link errors don't resolve with standard troubleshooting?.
What if Grok Bot authentication or account-link errors don't resolve with standard troubleshooting?
Some session and account-link failures, including looped sign-in flows, can't be fixed from your side and need our team to resolve.
Include when you contact support:
- The email on your Cursor account
- The exact error text (e.g. "Authentication error", "Access blocked", GitHub 404 on OAuth)
- Your platform and Grok Bot version
- The steps you already tried (logout/login, cache clear, reinstall, incognito, x.ai/bot sign-in)
- Whether the issue started during SuperGrok or X Premium+ linking
If the steps in Why is Grok Bot showing a persistent authentication error even after I log out, clear cache, and reinstall? don't resolve the issue, contact support
What if my Grok Bot account is access-blocked by a phone verification failure?
Phone verification failures can block account access, including after SuperGrok or X Premium+ linking. These blocks can't be cleared from your side, so support needs to reset them.
Include when you contact support:
- Cursor account email
- Whether the user completed phone verification or received an error
- Whether the block appeared during sign-in or during SuperGrok or X Premium+ linking
- Screenshot of the access-blocked screen
Contact support if you cannot complete phone verification and remain access-blocked after retrying.
