# What is The X Subscription?

For complete details, see [The X Subscription](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/overview) in the SpaceXSI documentation.

The X Subscription is one subscription that brings Grok, Cursor, and X together. Grok and Cursor share a weekly included usage pool. Your X benefits depend on your plan and apply when you add a personal X account. See [X Premium Customers moving to The X Subscription](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/x-premium).

Switching to The X Subscription is optional. Your current plan, price, and features continue unless you change or cancel. To combine your existing subscriptions, see [How to unify accounts under The X Subscription](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/unify-accounts).

## How The X Subscription works

- Shared weekly included pool: Grok and Cursor usage draw from the same included pool.
- Workspace and billing: a workspace can be for an individual or a team, and people can belong to more than one workspace. The subscription, bill, usage, and top-ups are managed for that workspace at [grok.com/dashboard](https://grok.com/dashboard).
- Third-party models: third-party models in Cursor, like Claude or GPT, aren't included in your plan. You can still use them in Cursor, billed at API list prices from the first use and paid from your prepaid credit.

For eligibility, including Enterprise, see [Unification eligibility: Who can combine accounts?](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/eligibility).

## What happens when you switch

When you switch, eligible Cursor and Grok accounts are combined under one subscription, workspace, and bill. A connected personal X account gets X benefits. On a team plan, each member with a seat gets X benefits by connecting their own personal X account. The switch is permanent. It can't be undone, and Support can't undo it for you.

If you have more than one Cursor account (for example, from using SuperGrok with Grok Bot), you choose a primary Cursor account when you switch, and your other Cursor accounts are combined into it. Adding more than one Cursor account isn't available for every account. See [I have more than one Cursor account](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/multiple-cursor-accounts).

## Who can switch?

- Existing self-serve customers (Individual and Team plans):
  - Use the **Unify** option in Cursor or Grok, or get started at [cursor.com/unify](https://cursor.com/unify) if you're starting from Cursor, or [accounts.x.ai/unify](https://accounts.x.ai/unify) if you're starting from Grok or X
- Enterprise: Cursor Enterprise customers without an active Grok account can switch with help from their account team. Other Enterprise accounts can't switch yet.
- New customers, including anyone with only a free X account, start on The X Subscription. Existing Cursor customers can still upgrade or downgrade between their current Cursor plans without switching, except plans billed through the Apple App Store, which need to switch first. Existing teams can still add seats or change a seat's tier without switching.

## What happens to your old plans

When you switch, the Cursor, SuperGrok, and paid X Premium subscriptions you select are cancelled at checkout, and you get an automatic prorated refund for unused time. If you pay for Cursor through the Apple App Store, we can't cancel or refund that subscription. Cancel it in your iPhone or iPad Settings, or Apple keeps billing you, and request any refund from Apple. We'll also email you a reminder to cancel after you switch. If it's not in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. Grok, Grok Bot, or X Premium bought through the App Store or Google Play works differently. See [Invoices & Refunds](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/invoices-and-refunds). For how refunds are calculated, see [Invoices & Refunds](https://docs.x.ai/x-subscription/invoices-and-refunds). A new billing cycle starts on the day you switch.
