# Regions and model availability Some AI model providers have location-based restrictions, which means certain models may not be available in your region. When this happens, those models won't appear in Cursor, but all other models continue to work. ## What can I do if a model is unavailable in my region? 1. **Use Auto**: Auto selects an available model for each request 2. **Pick a different model**: Manually select any model that remains enabled in your account 3. **Bring your own API key**: If your provider serves your region, add your key in **Cursor Settings** > **Models**. Calls may still fail if the provider blocks your region even with your own key. ## Which regions does each provider support? - [Anthropic (Claude)](https://docs.anthropic.com/en/api/supported-regions) - [OpenAI (GPT)](https://help.openai.com/articles/5347006-openai-api-supported-countries-and-territories) - [Google (Gemini)](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/available-regions) ## Related - [Regions reference](https://cursor.com/docs/account/regions.md) - [Privacy and data](https://cursor.com/help/security-and-privacy/privacy.md) - [Available models](https://cursor.com/help/models-and-usage/available-models.md) --- ## Sitemap [Overview of all docs pages](/llms.txt)
