# Usage and limits

Each Cursor plan includes a monthly budget of API usage charged at model provider prices, plus generous Auto and Composer usage.

## How much usage does each plan include?

- **Pro** ($20/mo): $20 of API agent usage + generous Auto and Composer usage
- **Pro Plus** ($60/mo): $70 of API agent usage + generous Auto and Composer usage
- **Ultra** ($200/mo): $400 of API agent usage + generous Auto and Composer usage

Your model selection affects how quickly your included usage is consumed. You can view usage and token breakdowns on [your dashboard](https://cursor.com/dashboard/usage).

On current individual plans, Max Mode is billed at the model's API rate. On legacy request-based plans, Max Mode adds a 20% surcharge.

## How do I check my usage?

Go to [cursor.com/dashboard](https://cursor.com/dashboard) and check the **Usage** section. Your dashboard shows your real-time usage, remaining allowance, and any on-demand charges.

## What happens when I hit my usage limit?

You'll see a notification in the editor. You can either enable usage-based pricing (pay-as-you-go) or upgrade to a higher plan.

## When does my usage reset?

Usage resets monthly. Click **Manage Subscription** in [your dashboard](https://cursor.com/dashboard) to see the reset date.

For example, if you subscribed on January 15th at noon, your usage resets on the 15th of each month at noon. Unused usage does not roll over.

For teams, all members' usage resets at the same time based on the team billing cycle.

## How do I get more usage?

- **Use Auto and Composer**: These are tracked separately and included with your plan
- **Enable on-demand usage**: Pay for additional requests at the same API rates
