# Subscribe from the iOS app

The [Cursor iOS app](https://cursor.com/help/ai-features/mobile-app.md) supports subscribing to a paid plan as an in-app purchase handled by Apple. Here's how it works and how it differs from subscribing on the web.

## Which plans can I buy in the app?

If you don't already have a plan billed through cursor.com, you can subscribe to a monthly Pro, Pro+, or Ultra plan from the app. If you already subscribed in the app, you can upgrade your plan there too. If you're on a plan billed through cursor.com, manage it on [cursor.com](https://cursor.com/dashboard/billing) instead.

Only monthly individual plans are available in the app. For yearly billing, Teams, or Enterprise plans, subscribe on [cursor.com](https://cursor.com/dashboard/billing).

## How do I manage an in-app subscription?

Apple is the merchant of record for in-app purchases, so Apple handles all subscription management.

- To view, change, or cancel your plan, see Apple's guide to [viewing and canceling subscriptions](https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/iphone/iph4e3e7324f/ios).
- For refunds, invoices, and receipts, use [Apple's Subscriptions and billing support](https://support.apple.com/billing).

Because Apple processes the payment, Cursor can't cancel an in-app plan or issue a refund for you. Any billing question on an in-app subscription goes through Apple.

## Can I use on-demand spend on an in-app plan?

No. Cursor doesn't store a payment method for in-app subscribers, so you can't turn on [on-demand spend](https://cursor.com/help/account-and-billing/overages.md). To use on-demand, move to a subscription billed through cursor.com.

## How do I switch to a subscription on cursor.com?

You can't switch directly while an in-app subscription is active. To move to a plan billed through cursor.com:

1. [Cancel the in-app subscription](https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/iphone/iph4e3e7324f/ios) through Apple.
2. Wait for it to expire at the end of the current period.
3. Once it lapses, sign up again on [cursor.com](https://cursor.com/dashboard/billing).

## Is my plan tied to my email or my Apple ID?

Both. An in-app plan is tied to a single Cursor email and the Apple ID used to buy it. If you sign in with a different email and try to restore the purchase, you'll see an error. Use the same email you subscribed with.

## What if my in-app purchase hasn't synced?

Your subscription status usually syncs automatically. If it still looks wrong after a purchase, tap **Restore Purchases** in the app. This re-downloads your subscription state from Apple and re-applies your plan. Restore Purchases is for accounts that aren't already on a cursor.com subscription.

## Can I buy a plan in the app in my region?

Yes. In-app plans are available in every region where Cursor is on the App Store, which is everywhere except mainland China.
